Are there any new developments in your career or life that you want to share?
A lot has changed in such a short time since coming back to Chicago. Teachers were laid off at Aveda, which leaves me without a steady income source, benefits, etc.
How does this affect your long-term goals as a stylist?
I was struggling for some time while working as a teacher to get back behind the chair and I guess now this, how terrible it is, makes it easier to get out there.
After “Work With Kiyah”, are you ready to work in a salon?
Going to Warren Tricomi and seeing the clientele, now I’m looking for that here in Chicago. I’m not settling for anything less and I have Kiyah to thank for that. My value is more than an average salon!
It seems fate made things easier for you. What’s next for Kyra Allen with your new found flexibility?
So now a new journey begins!! Where will I end up! And will they let me keep growing my brand just like Kiyah!
